 Petra Baptist Church is a family of believers that desires to glorify God by becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

What We Believe

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is our final guide for faith, life, and ministry.

We believe there is one true God, eternally existing in three Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—worthy of all worship, honor, and praise.

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and will return again in glory.

We believe salvation is by God's grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ. It is a gift from God, not earned by human effort or good works.

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts and draws people to salvation in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit regenerates and indwells every believer upon trusting in Jesus Christ and will never leave or forsake a believer. The Holy Spirit also transforms the believers life into the image of Jesus Christ.  

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and demonstrate God's love by living out the great commandment. 

We believe every believer is called to grow in discipleship, living a life of obedience, holiness, and faithful witness as followers of Christ.

We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly, bringing God's kingdom to its fullness, raising the dead, and establishing eternal life for all who trust in Him.
